About
PLAY. COLLECT. FIX. REPEAT. Garage Exile is my corner of the internet for video games, arcade machines, toys and comics—and the stories that come with them.
A PASSION FOR THE PAST (AND PRESENT)
Garage Exile is a personal hobby site, built around my collection and the time I spend exploring it. Some items spark a childhood memory. Others are discoveries that make me wonder how I missed them first time around. Here, I share the fun of collecting, playing and working on things, with reviews, repair logs and videos along the way. Think of it as a look around the collection, without having to find somewhere to sit between the boxes.
FOUR INTERESTS. PLENTY OF RABBIT HOLES.
There’s more than one route into this hobby. These are mine.
VIDEO GAMES
Old favourites, unfamiliar titles and the joy of picking up a controller just to see what happens.
ARCADE MACHINES
Cabinets, controls and the unmistakable appeal of bringing a little arcade atmosphere home.
TOYS
Figures and playsets that can turn a quick look into a long trip down memory lane.
AND THERE’S ALWAYS ANOTHER STORY
Comics are part of the collection too: characters, artwork and worlds worth getting lost in. Across every part of Garage Exile, the idea is the same: share what catches my interest, document what I learn and make room for a bit of humour when things don’t go to plan. You don’t need a rare collection or encyclopaedic knowledge to enjoy looking around. Curiosity is plenty.
WHAT DOES THIS BRING BACK FOR YOU?
A favourite game? A much-loved toy? A comic you read until the cover gave up? I’d love Garage Exile to spark a memory—or introduce you to something completely new.
